Bio:

Leonid Apiiov was born on a newly created hive world called Mundus Varro. His father died before he was born, and so was brought up by his mother. He had also an estranged relationship with his older brother whom later joined an underhive gang and was never heard from again. Whilst in his early twenties, Leonid’s mother fell ill due to a great plague that broke out within the city he lived within, and aided her in what way he could. His mother died however, as did nearly half of the city’s population. When the worst had finally passed, he worked as an apprentice at his districts medicae facility and learned the various skills and techniques in the art of healing.

Three years after the plague ended, Leonid decided to leave Mundus Varro in pursuit of a new life, and joined a merchant convoy. Another year later, the convoy docked on the world of Valhalla where Leonid then joined the Imperial Guard believing it was where his skills were best suited.

Two years into his service in the Guard, he eventually met his baptism by fire via a campaign against a rebel faction on a small industrial world. Though not given the role of medic yet, he still aided his wounded comrades with what little he had to the best of his abilities. He had seen many of his comrades die, even with medical attention. He had learned that he would fare better if he did not grow too close with those he served with.
